As the pop/R 'n' B diva revealed in a teaser clip two weeks ago, her new hash tagged single was released Monday, May 6.
As promised, Mariah Carey released her much-anticipated duet "#Beautiful" with Miguel Monday, May 6. The 43-year-old superstar tapped the 27-year-old neo-soul singer to write, produce and sing the mid-tempo track with her. The catchy song is a lead single for her forthcoming album expected to arrive middle of this year.
The big debut also came with the single art that had a shot of Carey from her "#Beautiful" sneak peak two weeks ago but now with Miguel beside her. The two artists positioned as if they were propped onto a motorbike. Fans will get to finally see the live action riding shot when the Joseph Kahn-directed music video is unveiled this Wednesday on "American Idol", where Carey serves as one of the judges.
The two Grammy winners do what they do best in this new track, with Miguel kicking off the song with his smooth vocals that catapulted him to fame via his hit "Adorn". Carey then takes over after the first verse, breathing in her airy vocals into the guitar-driven beats. Their combination make for a light and breezy new single fit for Carey's new studio effort that she said would feature "more raw ballads than people might expect."
Carey's new album and long-awaited follow-up to her 2009 recording "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" brings together some of tody's most prolific record producers as Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Big Jim Wright, Hit-Boy, The-Dream, Mike WiLL Made It, and Rodney Jerkins.
