Bledel's Violet and Ronan's Daisy choose to be assassins to raise cash for their idol's dresses in the first trailer for Geoffrey S. Fletcher's film.
The first trailer for Geoffrey S. Fletcher's upcoming film "Violet & Daisy" has been debuted on the web. The video sees Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan shedding their good girl images as they portray two best friends Violet and Daisy, who are up for something that is definitely dangerous.
Idolizing pop idol Barbie Sunday, the two teenage girls try to come up with an idea of easy gig to collect some money for shopping their idol's dresses. Apparently, they end up working as assassins, targeting a mysterious loner as requested by Danny Trejo's Russ. Soon, they learn that the hit job will lead them to something beyond their expectation.
The film centers on a pair of gum-cracking teenage assassins named Violet and Daisy, who casually snuff out crime figures in New York City, distracted only by the fact that a concert by their favorite pop idol Barbie Sunday has suddenly been canceled.
Determined to raise cash for some Barbie Sunday dresses, the duo takes on a new hit job, which will be an odyssey of self-examination that catapults the junior enforcers into a world beyond Barbie Sunday and bullets for pay.
Directed and penned by Fletcher, the 2011 Toronto Film Fest entry is set to hit limited U.S. theaters on June 7.
