Carey's husband claims FOX and the show's producer 'feed into this whole sound bite drama' between his wife and her fellow 'Idol' judge Minaj.

Nick Cannon Blasts 'American Idol' Producers for Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj Feud

Nick Cannon has blasted FOX and "American Idol" producers for perpetuating a feud between his wife Mariah Carey and another "Idol" judge Nicki Minaj. Stopping by "The Talk", the "America's Got Talent" host called the situation "kind of unfortunate."

"When you see someone like my wife, who tries to remain classy and tries to take the high road, it feels like everybody else around it - including the network and the producers - feed into this whole sound bite drama," Cannon said on the daytime talk show. "It feels like it lacks substance."

Believing that bickering and mean judges were no longer attractive to viewers, he added, "I think America in general is tired of seeing the mean judges and people be mean to people. They're over it. In the book of Mariah Carey, American Idol will be a footnote."

When interviewed on KTLA, Cannon also dished on Carey's future on "Idol". "It's a time when she has so many amazing things going on in her life, if there's something unstable - I think if they get it stable she might re-look [sic] at it, but no one wants to be a part of something unstable," he explained.

Meanwhile, a source said Carey threatened not to show up on "Idol" this week following her latest argument with Minaj. "Mariah doesn't want to come back, Nicki is really disrespecting her and she's tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time," a so-called insider told FOX411's Pop Tartscolumn.

The source added that the "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" singer didn't wan't to return next season. "She's done with it all. She doesn't need the platform, and all the drama isn't healthy for her," the source claimed. "She's also under fire with the producers for not being critical enough of the contestants."

Carey and Minaj's latest bickering sparked as the former pointed out that none of the latter's songs never placed first on Billboard hot 100. The Harajuku Barbie then hit back, writing on Twitter, "What u SHOULD be doing [wit your messy a**] is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter @perezhilton."

Her war of words with Minaj aside, Carey will make use of "Idol" to premiere her new music video for "Beautiful" on Thursday, May 9's results show.

The Michael Scott depicter is said to return for a cameo rather than a full-fledged guest appearance in the NBC series' farewell song.

Rumors have spread like wild fire that Steve Carell will return to "The Office" series finale. Despite the actor's vehement and repetitive denial, TVLine learns that he will make an appearance in the show's swan song.

According to sources, Carell's return will qualify "as more of a cameo than a full-fledged guest appearance." NBC refuses to comment on the story, but a representative for the Michael Scott insists that the last episode will be Scott-free.

Just last week, executive producer Greg Daniels said that Carell wouldn't return as the former boss on Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. "I think Steve felt, and I agree, that the 'Goodbye, Michael' episode was his goodbye and he didn't want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved," he stated.

Even if he's not featured in the series finale, Carell has had a reunion with "The Office" crew. He surprised fans when showing up at the show's farewell party held in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 4.

"The Office" series finale will air Thursday, May 16 on NBC. Former cast members Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak are confirmed to make appearance along with Rachael HarrisDakota JohnsonJoan Cusack and more in the episode, which will also feature a wedding.

'Dancing with the Stars': Zendaya Gets First Perfect Score With Her Threesome Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060084.html#ixzz2Sc1pV4GR

Kellie Pickler's trio with Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus, meanwhile, divides the judges as Len Goodman expects more technique in her dramatic paso doble.

'Dancing with the Stars': Zendaya Gets First Perfect Score With Her Threesome

The remaining six pairs of "Dancing with the Stars" danced twice on Monday night, May 6. They first performed a traditional partners' dance before being joined by another pro dancer for a trio dance.

Zendaya Coleman and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy kicked it off with a cutely choreographed foxtrot. Len Goodman said, "The longer it goes on, the stronger you get," and the judges gave her 28 points.

For the trio dance, Zendaya was joined by Gleb Savchenko to dance a salsa. The Disney star got the spotlight despite the companion of the two pro dancers as Len commented, "These two guys gave up their talent to make you a star." Carrie Ann Inaba called her "the queen of the salsa" and it wasn't exaggerating as Zendaya earned 30 points, marking the first perfect score of the season.

Dancing a tango, Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd could be in jeopardy as the judges criticized his dance. "You're hot and you're cold, you're on and you're off," Bruno Tonioli said, advising him to "concentrate and sustain your dancing." For Len, "it was a little bit ugly." The insurance agent only got 21 points.

Sean got the same score for his trio jazz with Sharna Burgess. "You got out of sync a few too many times," Carrie Ann complained, but praised him for doing the "ambitious routine." Bruno, meanwhile, said, "Plenty of magic with a little bit of tragic."

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff danced a Viennese waltz and Len "loved it." Carrie Ann thought "that was absolutely stunning." The NFL player earned 27 points.

Cheryl Burke later joined Jacoby and Karina for a paso doble. "Up until now you've just been a pretender. You've become a contender tonight," Len raved, as Bruno called it "raw...powerful...untamed." He got 25 points.

Bruno also sang praise for Ingo Rademacher, saying he "did a great job" with his foxtrot, which he danced along with pro partner Kym Johnson. Carrie Ann thought "that was by far your best posture in the hold." The soap opera star earned 24 points.

His jive with Kym and Lindsay Arnold earned the same points. Len said, "It was full on, it was fun, I liked it," and Bruno wanted "some more." Carrie Ann added, "I thought when we lost Andy that we were gonna lose this heart and this fun. And you brought it back."

While Zendaya was dubbed the queen of salsa that night, Kellie Pickler's dance with Derek Hough earned her the title of a queen of the Viennese waltz from Bruno. Carrie Ann also raved, "You went beyond the steps... You have something incredible." The country singer got 28 points.

Kellie's paso doble with Derek and Tristan MacManus, however, divided the judges. Bruno called it a "masterpiece theater" and Carrie Ann found it "so fantastic," but Len disagreed. "I was expecting more than a bunch of flashing lights and rashing music," the head judge said. Kellie got 27 points for her second routine.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas danced an Argentine tango for their first dance of the night. Carrie Ann was "blown away," as Len commented, "It was smooth, it was seductive, it was wonderful." Aly earned 29 points.

Aly later returned for a jive trio with Mark and Henry Byalikov. Len said it had a "terriffic combination," and Carrie Ann suggested, "Keep going in this direction, 'cause it's working." The judges gave her 27 points.

'Cops' Moves to Spike TV After 25-Year Run on FOX Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060077.html#ixzz2Sc1auIjV

As the broadcast network cancels the documentary/reality legal series, the cable channel picks up the show for a 22-episode new season.

"Cops" is relocating to a new home after 25 seasons on FOX. The documentary/reality legal series will move to Spike TV starting this fall as the original network, which aired the show since its first season in 1989, doesn't pick up the show for a new season.

" 'Cops' is a remarkable series that has been able to sustain strong ratings well into its third decade, a monumental achievement in television," says Spike president Kevin Kay. "As we continue to grow and expand our audience, new episodes of Cops, with its loyal audience of adults 18-49, is the perfect addition to our primetime lineup on Saturday nights."

The show's executive producer John Langley tells TV Guide, "FOX is changing its programming strategy. So I was happy to find a new home with Spike. It matches our demo and it's an aggressive cable network. It's appointment viewing and people know we're on Saturday nights. They just have to turn the dial a little bit."

Spike TV has ordered 22 new episodes of "Cops" which will premiere its 26th season in September. The cable network has also acquired the rights to air repeats of some older "Cops" episodes.

"Cops" was a consistent performer for FOX on its Saturday slot, but a renewal from the network wasn't expected. Back in May 2011, another long-running show on FOX, "America's Most Wanted", moved to Lifetime though it has now been canceled.

'The Amazing Race' Season 22 Crowns Frontrunners as the Winning Team Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060056.html#ixzz2SWFP7xXm

Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Kuhle are eliminated in the 11th leg of the two-hour season finale, which sees the winning team leading way ahead of the others.

After weeks of traveling to 10 countries across the globe, "The Amazing Race" finally brought the remaining teams back to the United States in the season 22 finale. First, however, the four teams were headed to Belfast, Northern Ireland from Edinburgh, Scotland.

They faced the Roadblock in Peatlands Park where they had to bog snorkel. Anthony Battaglia finished first, followed by Katie Bichler and Mona Egender, while Jennifer Kuhle completed it on her third attempt after a pep talk from her team mate Caroline Cutbirth.

Next, the teams chose between serving a Titanic-inspired five-course meal or creating graffiti art in Detour. The first three teams chose the "Titanic" challenge, while Caroline & Jennifer chose graffiti. Max Bichler & Katie finished it first and won the 11th leg. They got a trip to the Dominican Republic.

Caroline & Jennifer, on the other hand, struggled to find the Beacon of Hope sculpture where they would get their next clue, after completing the Detour. Thus, Max & Katie and Mona & Beth beat the country singers in getting the spots in the final leg.

The final three then jetted off to Washington, D.C., and took a picture with "the president" at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue before heading to Tidal Basin. They were later tasked to find their next clue in a briefcase held by one of 50 agents using their "password."

The clue led them to National Stadium, where they faced the last challenge. One team mate had to jump in a giant ball pit, find the 10 countries they had visited outlined on 10 different balls, and throw the balls to the other team member. Bates and Anthony finished it even before the other two teams arrived.

The hockey brothers went straight to the finish line at Mount Vernon and were announced as the winners of the $1 million prize. "I can't remember the last time I felt like this," Bates told host Phil Keoghan. Anthony joked, "I can buy some new [teeth] now."

The Bichler couple finished second, with roller derby moms Mona and Beth coming in the third place.

After enduring a series of horrifying tortures, Theon Greyjoy is seemingly facing a bigger horror. The son Lord Balon Greyjoy is featured begging for mercy in a sneak peek for the new episode of "Game of Thrones" as his torturers approach him and one of them brings a knife.

Surviving the daunting climb, Jon confronts Warg Orell who cut him and Ygritte loose on the wall, but Warg tells Jon that the Wildings kill each other when it's needed and Ygritte knows that.

Another capture, Jaime, is brought back to his father Tywin at Kings Landing, but Brienne is not taken with him. The female warrior faces a formidable foe in Harrenhal.

After absent in the latest episode, Daenerys is back in the next episode. She will likely add more slaves to her army as she exchanges gifts with a slave lord outside of Yunkai, and her dragons have grown bigger.

Meanwhile, Melisandre is about to reveal a secret to Gendry, Sansa frets about her prospects, Shae chafes at Tyrion's new situation, and Tywin counsels the king.

"The Bear and the Maiden Fair" will air Sunday, May 12 at 9/8c on HBO.

'Celebrity Apprentice' Recap: Marilu Henner's 'Interesting' Leadership Gets Her Fired Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060062.html#ixzz2SWEwFJzK

Henner fails to utilize her teammates Lil Jon and Trace Adkins as best as she can to host a party in Foxwoods Resorts' King-themed suite at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

'Celebrity Apprentice' Recap: Marilu Henner's 'Interesting' Leadership Gets Her Fired
See larger image
Another project manager was dragged down into a pit of elimination in the May 5 episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice". This time, Marilu Henner had to pay the price for her mistake as she took charge of Team Power, leading Trace Adkins and Lil Jon to host a Foxwoods Resorts party in a suite at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Going for the King theme, Team Power showed a poor teamwork as Henner decided to go solo for food and kingly props, leaving Jon and Adkins handling the entertainment. With Hunter Hayes and LuAnn De Lesseps building the festive mood, the regal-themed party was apparently a bit too much for Adkins. "I never been to a party with massages and chess where people had their clothes on," Adkins cynically commented on Henner's creation.

Plan B, meanwhile, worked in harmony as Lisa Rinna led the only left member Penn Jillette to work on their Joker-themed party. Inviting magician Teller, celebrity chef David Burke and Lisa Lampanelli, the duo held a more modest party than their rival's as shown in the decoration, which was less "fun" than it could have been.

In the boardroom, both project managers praised the way their parties eventually turned out. Even though the execs were in favor of Team Power's creativity, they still thought that the king decor was too obvious and the chess table was a misstep. As the result, Plan B was announced as the winner and Rinna received $100.000 for her charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The three members of Team Power returned to the boardroom and tried to defend themselves in front of Donald Trump. Since it was all because Henner, whose leadership was called "interesting" by Jon, did not trust her partners to work on the project together, the business mogul had nothing to say to her but, "You're fired!"

A promo video for the season 2 finale of "Revenge" promises a "nail-bitting," "gut-wrenching" and "heart-stopping" two-hour closer. Victoria spitting on Conrad's face, Nolan saying Jack's walking into a trap and Emily wielding a sword are some of the scenes teased in the preview. Emily is also seen trying to stop Jack from doing what he's attempting to do which may lead to her making a shocking confession.

According to the official synopsis, in the first hour a series of dangerous events has been set in motion and it all comes to a head in one catastrophic moment that will change everyone's lives forever.

The devastation leads to a heartbreaking death that will send shockwaves down the shoreline and force Emily to take a hard look at the truth and the path of revenge she has embarked on in the second hour of the finale.

Titled "The Truth", the season 2 finale of "Revenge" will air Sunday, May 12 starting at 9/8c on ABC. Series creator Mike Kelley previously said the dead character would "be a surprise" and "it's certainly a surprise to Emily."

The soap drama series has recently sealed executive producer Sunil Nayar as the new showrunner, replacing Kelley who leaves the post at the end of the second season.

'SNL' Videos: Zach Galifianakis Plays 'Game of Thrones', Brings 'Hangover' Buddies Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060050.html#ixzz2SWE2tCsE

Galifianakis is aided by real 'Game of Thrones' star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the spoof of the drama series, and is beaten by Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms in a Jennifer Aniston look-alike contest.

'SNL' Videos: Zach Galifianakis Plays 'Game of Thrones', Brings 'Hangover' Buddies

Zach Galifianakis couldn't win a single game on "Saturday Night Live". Hosting the May 4 edition of the NBC series, he appeared in two sketches about a contest, but he lost in all of them.

Galifianakis played Duncan, a die-hard fan of "Game of Thrones", in "Game of Game of Thrones" sketch. It was a game about the HBO drama series, but Duncan, who dressed as a dragon, got questions which were not related to the show.

To his delight, "Game of Thrones" actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau showed up to give him the next questions. "I would make a great best friend," Galifianakis told the Jaime Lannister depicter. "We could shower together, and I wouldn't look down, even though I wanted to."

In another sketch, Galifianakis was upset that he got the last place in the 15th Annual Jennifer Aniston look-alike contest. Wearing a blonde wig to impersonate the "Friends" star, he confronted the host played by Jason Sudeikis.

Sudeikis then called out other contestants, Galifianakis' "The Hangover Part III" co-stars Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms, who were tied for the first place. They ended up singing "That's What Friends Are For" which they believed to be a "Friends" theme song.

Also in the episode, Galifianakis parodied Michael Jordan's wedding and Jon Hamm made a cameo in "Darrell's House" skit. Another "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage, meanwhile, appeared in "Weekend Update" to play Peter Drunklage, the brother-in-law of Bobby Moynihan's drunk uncle.

The surprise appearances by Cooper, Helms, Hamm and Dinklage, however, couldn't boost "SNL" ratings. The Galifianakis-hosted episode averaged a 4.4/11 in metered-market households, down 4% from "SNL" last original hosted by Vince Vaughn in April. Still, it topped rating of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX.

Photo credit: /WENN Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and the rest of Aerosmith will, unfortunately, not be seen by their fans in Indonesia as the band has been forced to cancel their forthcoming concert in the nation's capital Jakarta. The Bad Boys from Boston have called off their May 11 performance at the Jiexpo Kemayoran over fears of an alleged bomb plot at the Myanmar Embassy situated in the city. The band made their announcement a day after Indonesian authorities foiled attempts by two suspected militant bombers to attack the Burmese embassy in Jakarta to protest Myanmar's treatment of Muslims. The decision was made despite the fact that the 15,000 tickets to the concert have all been nearly sold out. Although it wasn't clear if the cancellation was caused by the alleged embassy plot, the band's management had put the group's safety first with the decision. Concert promoter Ismaya Live carried the Aerosmith's official statement on its website, where they apologized to fans, saying they hoped to make it up to the fans in the future. There was no indication whether they would reschedule the said concert. Aerosmith kicked off their Asia-Pacific tour leg in April with their first-ever concert in New Zealand and several shows in Australia. Without the Jakarta concert, Aerosmith fans would have to catch the legendary band in their Wednesday concert in the Philippines, at the Mall of Asia Arena in the nation's capital, Manila. © AceShowbiz.com Read more: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00060076.html#ixzz2SW87CiMO

Another promo video is debuted for "Dexter" season 8, still giving a look at the tense relationship between the title character and his sister Deb. The snippet additionally teases the arrival of Dr. Evelyn "The Psychopath Whisperer" Vogel, who seems to pose a big problem for Dexter since the beginning.

To further hype up the show's return, a new poster for the final season is released online. It once again teases the possible ending of the serial killer as he's seen being wrapped in clear plastic tarpaulin, which he usually uses to wrap his victims in.

The eighth and final season of "Dexter" will premiere Sunday, June 30, at 9 P.M. on Showtime, followed by new show "Ray Donovan" which stars Liev Schreiber as a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in Los Angeles.

Joining the cast of the upcoming installment are Charlotte Rampling as Dr. Vogel, Julian Sands as wealthy international businessman Miles Foster, Sean Patrick Flanery as Jacob Elroy who owns a private investigation company, Nick Gomez as hitman Javier Guzman and more. Additionally, Yvonne Strahovski will reprise her role as Hannah McKay.

Dishing on what will be addressed in the upcoming chapter, Showtime entertainment president David Nevins recently said, "Part of what you need to do in a finale is start bringing some of the different threads together: his sister, his son, his love life, his professional life and his childhood trauma."
